Rebecca Rufo-Tepper leads EDGE, Northeastern’s engine for digital innovation, where she shapes the strategy behind the university's online and enterprise learning growth. She leads a cross-functional team, overseeing the full lifecycle of learning programs from initial concept to launch. With a career spanning classroom teaching, nonprofit leadership, and higher education, Rebecca brings both pedagogical depth and operational rigor to the design of our programs.

Rebecca joined Northeastern in 2018 as Director of Learning. She has worked in education for more than two decades. Prior to joining Northeastern, she served as Executive Director at Institute of Play, a non-profit design studio focused on building transformative learning experiences rooted in the principles of game design.

Rebecca holds a BA in English from Tufts University, a Master's degree in English Education from the Teachers College at Columbia University, and a PhD in Urban Education from the Graduate Center at CUNY.
